A flagship development for Teesside University, the teaching and conference building ‘The Curve’, provides a vibrant focal point at the heart of the university. Set over five floors, it provides a 150 seat lecture theatre and 1,476m2 of flexible teaching and learning space, set around landscaping for both students and the wider community.
Part refurbishment and part new build, Seven Pancras Square provides 30,297 sq ft of BREEAM Excellent office space, club rooms and meeting space over five floors. An existing Grade ll listed building, known as the Stanley Building, was refurbished and then a new office building constructed, wrapping around it and joined to the heritage structure by an open, glass atrium.
BAM successfully developed One, Two and Seven Pancras Square, part of the new King's Cross development for developer Argent. These three project teams, collectively known as Zone B, combined forces to create site-wide positive impacts for the local community.
A design and build project to deliver Imperial Tobacco’s new, BREEAM Excellent, global headquarters in Bristol city centre. The client’s aspiration was to create a sustainable, state of the art global headquarters. The new four storey office building accommodates 500 staff and includes an auditorium, gym and restaurant all incorporated around a feature ‘floating’ staircase.
Sir Charles Kao University Technical College (UTC) combines academic and technical learning in science, engineering and computing. BAM designed and built the three storey timber framed UTC with large, open plan learning areas to encourage exchange of knowledge and ideas, as well Computer Aided Design (CAD) studios, science laboratories, 3D printing rooms and an intelligent studio flat to test new technology.
