Imperial Tobacco Global HQ

A design and build project to deliver Imperial Tobacco’s new, BREEAM Excellent, global headquarters in Bristol city centre. The client’s aspiration was to create a sustainable, state of the art global headquarters. The new four storey office building accommodates 500 staff and includes an auditorium, gym and restaurant all incorporated around a feature ‘floating’ staircase.

Sir Charles Kao University Technical College (UTC) combines academic and technical learning in science, engineering and computing. BAM designed and built the three storey timber framed UTC with large, open plan learning areas to encourage exchange of knowledge and ideas, as well Computer Aided Design (CAD) studios, science laboratories, 3D printing rooms and an intelligent studio flat to test new technology.

BAM FM: Bromsgrove PFI

Resource efficiency

BAM FM delivers total FM services, including waste management to five schools in Worcestershire County as part of the Bromsgrove PFI contract. The new schools provide a modern teaching environment and also offer shared community facilities such as a library. Working with Bromsgrove PFI, BAM FM came up with a new solution to waste management, achieving 100% diversion from landfill.

The new Scottish Water national headquarters is a three storey, 7,300m2 building accommodating 600 staff. This ultra-sustainable building incorporates office space and meeting rooms around a large central atrium. The building is being hailed as the most environmentally friendly building of its kind.

ARK Brunel Primary Academy

The new ARK Brunel Primary Academy is constructed from Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) panels, providing a warm and inspiring environment for 420 pupils, including 16 place special needs and 40 nursery places. The new building uses various levels to offer increased outdoor play and teaching areas, providing a flexible learning environment.

Chilton Trinity Technology College

Chilton Trinity Technology College is one of three new Building Schools for the Future (BSF) projects in Somerset. The two storey building provides a teaching space for 1,100 pupils and a large leisure centre for community use with four sports courts, dance studio, fitness suite and swimming pool.
